Welcome aboard! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the One Nautical Mile website (the "Site"), including any purchases made through our online store.

By visiting our Site or purchasing products from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not access or use our Site.

1. Eligibility

By using this Site, you represent and warrant that:

2. Products

One Nautical Mile offers made-to-order apparel, accessories, gifts, home décor, and personalized products inspired by cruising, boating, fishing, and life on the water.

Because many of our products are produced individually upon order, slight variations in:

  • Color

  • Print placement

  • Fabric texture

  • Size (within industry tolerances)

  • Product appearance

are considered normal and are not manufacturing defects.

Product images are intended to represent the item as accurately as possible. Actual colors may vary due to monitor, phone, or tablet display settings.

3. Personalized & Custom Products

Many of our products are personalized specifically for you.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming:

  • Names

  • Dates

  • Boat names

  • Port names

  • Custom text

  • Monograms

  • Spelling

  • Colors

  • Sizes

before placing your order.

Once production begins, personalized orders generally cannot be changed or cancelled.

Errors submitted by the customer are not eligible for refunds or replacements.

4. Pricing

Prices are displayed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated.

We reserve the right to:

  • Change prices without notice

  • Correct pricing errors

  • Cancel orders containing obvious pricing mistakes

If your order is cancelled because of a pricing error, you will receive a full refund.

5. Payment

Payment is required at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its supported payment providers.

We do not store your full credit card information.

Orders are not sent to production until payment has been successfully authorized.

6. Order Acceptance

Receiving an order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for reasons including:

  • Fraud prevention

  • Suspected unauthorized transactions

  • Product availability

  • Pricing errors

  • Shipping restrictions

  • Violation of these Terms

If payment has already been collected, any cancelled order will receive a full refund.

7. Production & Shipping

Most products are manufactured after an order is placed.

Estimated production and shipping times are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Shipping carriers

  • Customs inspections

  • Weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Holidays

  • Labor disruptions

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Risk of loss transfers to you when the package is delivered to the shipping address provided during checkout.

8. Returns & Refunds

Our Return & Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Order Cancellations

Because our products are made to order, cancellation requests can only be accommodated if production has not yet started.

We cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations will be possible after an order has been submitted.

10. Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax will be collected where required by law.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or similar fees imposed by their country or jurisdiction.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including but not limited to:

  • Logos

  • Trademarks

  • Product designs

  • Graphics

  • Photographs

  • Text

  • Website design

  • Branding

is owned by or licensed to One Nautical Mile and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

12. User Reviews & Content

If you submit reviews, photos, testimonials, comments, or other content, you grant One Nautical Mile a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, and distribute that content for marketing and business purposes.

You represent that you own or have permission to share any content you submit.

13. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe that content appearing on our Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with:

  • Your contact information

  • Identification of the copyrighted work

  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material

  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized

  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate
